A Unique Artistic Approach

I have been creating handcrafted dolls in France for many years.

Each textile doll is slowly born in my workshop, shaped by the fabrics, threads, and inspiration.

My creations are unique pieces, made one by one, without an identical model.

My world is inspired by primitive dolls, folk art, antique objects, and the world of handcrafted dolls.

I love expressive faces, imperfect details, and characters that seem to carry their own story.

Each handmade doll is designed as a collector's item. This unique textile doll is intended for lovers of outsider art and collectors.

The fabrics, colors, and expressions evolve naturally during the creative process, making each collectible doll a unique presence.

They talk about my creations

“A real presence.”
— ARIANE

“Even more beautiful than in the photo.”
— ISABELLE

“A remarkable and deeply moving work.”
— ANITA

Who am I ?

I am Catherine Cruse, creator of handmade textile art dolls in France. For years, I have been bringing to life sensitive and imperfect textile characters, inspired by folk art, primitive dolls, and antique objects imbued with soul.

I don't strive to create perfect dolls. I strive to create a presence. Each character is born slowly, through the fabrics, threads, imperfections, and emotions.

Some creations are tender, others melancholic or strange, but all tell a story of humanity. All my dolls are unique, entirely handmade pieces.

No character is reproduced. Each face, each silhouette, and each detail possesses its own personality and story. Some pieces require more than ten hours of work. Sewing, assembly, embroidery, material research, and balancing the character: each step contributes to their identity.

My creations are not toys. These are textile works intended for collectors, art lovers, and those who appreciate delicate objects.

Welcome to my world.

For several years, I have been creating dolls, textile characters and poetic posters inspired by my folk art universe.

If you like my work and wish to support independent creation, you can buy me a coffee of any amount you choose.

Every contribution helps me to continue creating, sharing and keeping this workshop alive.

The posters remain freely accessible, of course.

You can also download them freely in high quality.

From time to time, I share
Behind the scenes, the new creations
and a few moments from the life of the workshop.

I only send a few messages a year.
